Evening Entertainments

Even with the ever present distractions that comes with having kids, us adults still need to venture out of the home without the little rugrats. This past weekend Chris and I decided to go out and experience the more creative side to Thunder Bay’s night life. Saturday evening was one of my favourite annual events. Derelicte is an event that Defsup has put on for 8 years now and it brings together artists and musicians from all over Thunder Bay to strut their stuff on stage. Wearable art makes for one hell of a fashion show that draws in an incredible amount of onlookers and supporters. It was an incredible event and Chris and I both look forward to seeing again next year.

On to Sunday. After a day of recovering from a “fun” overload brought on by Saturday night, our next stop was to the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium. We were lucky enough to get our hands on some tickets to the Banff Mountain Film Festival and it was definitely an interesting experience. There are some great film makers out there with a passion for the Earth and the great outdoors. Chris enjoyed the films a little bit more then I did, but it was worth the trip out.

So that was our weekend. Hope you all had some fun and got to experience something new and exciting. Until next time my fellow Adventurers.
